Although it’s very exciting to hear that your department is being refurbished or completely rebuilt, it won’t be long before you’re faced with a seemingly unending list of questions about what you will require. It may seem a bit daunting, but now is the opportunity to make sure your new department will be as close as possible to what you want and need.

Some general specifications (such as the size and number of rooms) may not be negotiable
- they may depend upon the size of the school and government regulations - but in many areas you can have an influence in shaping the final layout and accommodation for the department.

Our consultation process is designed to help you think through these issues and to make sure that nothing is left to chance! Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers - we’ll help you work those out in conjunction with the relevant parties, such as architects, electrical and consulting engineers and builders.
